Death to the bolg? I don't think so. I really think that most people have never used one. They don't know how or are just afraid.
Listen, it is easy :)
just click on comments and type something. If you have an account, click blogger annd type username and password. If you do not have an account click other or anonymous. Do not forget to type the word verification in the box. I put this there because it will stop mechanical postings to this blog ( a real person has to type in this set of letters).
Anyway, hopefully this helps those that are computerly challenged!?

Renee, I'd love to fill out an exit survey but I don't think I recieved one. Dave say's you e-mailed them. I must have lost mine in the sea of all the e-mails that have been coming through.

Bob Drake, yes, please talk politics with Dave. Maybe that'll get me off the hook of listening to it. Blog, blog, blog!!

Dave, Thanks for the blog sight. Loved your profile, only, I'm kind of wondering where "married for 19 years and have a 16 yr. old son and 12 yr. old daughter" went? HMMMM!!

Renee, Thanks for the exit survey. Have a great weekend and Easter everyone.

Dan, how bout a couple of beers and shots. I'm celebrating. This is the first year we're not hiding eggs. I think almost 17 and 13's a little old for that.

Nick, Dave doesn't need your trailer. We have a perfectly good dog house in the yard. But thanks for your concern.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!! Enjoy the day with your families.

Dave, Love the new profile. WOW!! Almost 20 years with 2 kids, That's great :)!

Dan and Nick... what can I say? I never really thought of Easter eggs in that way. Good thing I stuck with just beer.

Bob, here is an article I wrote for the Macomb Daily. This may answer your question.
----
There are many reasons why I decided to sit down and write this article. There are so many different views about so many different subjects today. This is the reason that I titled it “Just Because I’m Right, Doesn’t Mean You’re Wrong”. If you are looking to read a politically correct article, this is not it. If you don’t like what you are reading, put the paper down and go find some bleeding heart liberal book that makes you feel oh so good.

When I refer to the word “Right” I am referring to it in the sense that my political stance is more right than it is left. Although I am registered as a Republican, I try to consider every topic as an Independent. I try to see both sides of every equation. I also try to vision myself as more of a moderate than that of a Right Wing Ideologue. Some of my views are actually more to the left, or progressive. Although I do not agree with every cause the party has to offer, I support them on an overall basis. In my mind, I see my view as being correct or right for ME.

I try not to use the word “Liberal”, because to me it has a vile connotation.

Let me explain this for a moment. The word “liberal” means favoring progress and reform of the social institutions. Now don’t get me wrong, progress is a good thing as is reform. The word “liberal” derives from the Latin word liber, meaning free, generous and tolerant.

But wait; didn’t I just say it was a vile word to me? Yes. Taken in context that is used today a “Liberal” is one who feels that tolerance should be given to anybody and everybody, including grown men who rape and kill little boys, look at the ACLU's protection of NAMBLA. (North America Man Boy Love Association).

Liberals believe that generosity in the form of governmental handouts (welfare) to every illegal immigrant and unwed mother who feels that it is easier to continue to have more kids than to get a job is what is described by the word “Liberality”, generosity. Liberals feel that people are not to be held accountable for personal actions. Today’s society of “liberals” represents the minority over the majority. According to them, the rights of one individual outweigh the rights to society as a whole.

The “liberal" is the person that finds it perfectly OK for the guy sitting next to you in the restaurant to be yelling obscenities into his cell phone so that the entire restaurant is made to listen or sitting at a red light in his car with the stereo up so loud that not only your windows vibrate but your eardrums also, listening to the words of so called "musicians" called rappers. We must be tolerant because that is his 1st amendment right.

Oh what a relief to know that our Founding Fathers had the insight to allow our 1st amendment rights to preserve the dignity of this kind of freedom of speech.

Referring to the phrase, “Doesn’t Mean You’re Wrong”, I am simply saying that the views in this article are MY views. You may disagree with what I have written and you may have your own views. Or course, your views may be “Right” or “Wrong” also.

Republican, Democrat, Right, Left, Conservative, Liberal, Moderate, Independent, whatever you call yourself, whatever you think you are, whatever your ideology is, make certain that you view all sides of the issue at hand and make your decision based on educated research and not just what your group or your peers think or tell you.

This article will enrage some people. This is not the conclusion that I hope for. I hope people will read this article and realize that there are very many topics that concern us on a daily basis. These topics should be discussed and debated with honesty.

There will probably be no more than two people in the country that will agree with me on this article. This article is about how I feel. These are MY views, right or wrong.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste, isn't it?!

Totally understand, Dan. My alarm rings at 4:55 Mon. thru Fri. I'm up by no later than 5:10 to do my morning work out. It's the only time of the day that the house is mine. I work with special needs children so I'm literally with kids 24/7 except when mine are sleeping. Anyway, have a nice day. It's beautiful out.

Okay, I have to get in on this "having kids" thing too. I agree. I don't remember what life was like before I had my kids. I love being a Mom even though sometimes it's more than challenging. Mine are older. Almost 17 and 13. I have to say that I'd love to have my kids small again. At that age, you're still everything to them, you're not yet "stupid" and have no clue about real life like they do. No worrying about who their friends are, are they making right choices, are they being safe when they're out driving and, well, you get the idea. There's always challenges with raising kids, the challenges just change as the kids get older. But, I'm very excited to see what my kids are going to do with their lives and see if they'll hold to the ideas and values that Dave and I tried to instill in them. All you can do is hope beyond hope that they do. Anyway, I just want to say that we could not believe how many of our classmates have such young children. WOW! Dave and I will only be 44 when our youngest graduates. We're excited to see what life is going to like when that happens.

Dan,
I believe the song was written about Kathy Maddocks. At least that's what I thought. Anyone remember her? She moved after 10th grade. I still keep in touch with her once in a while, but you know how it goes, these days you barely get to see your best buddies let alone anyone else.
To Sheila, I know what you mean about the kids. Only, I was surprised to find out how many of us have OLDER kids! I'm just starting out. I'll be OLD AS DIRT when she graduates!! The other kids will say, "it's nice that your grandma came, where's your mom?" lol. Well, gotta go, she's getting into something she shouldn't! (she's 15 months).

hello mr. rat killer, what do you meen keep it updated? updated with what?

and, i like nicks idea. we should be getting compensated for all this self expression. 5 bucks a posting is ok for nick. but my short thoughts and witty comments usually pull in about ten bucks each . VERY valuable stuff here. put some kind of login system in place so that it will just automatically deposit the money into my bank. less hassles for me that way.

thanks a bunch!!

Oh sure, it's all about the money! OK fine- all I need is your bank account number (with routing number) and social security number. I will deposit $10 for every post you make. Honest. If you would like a form to fill out with all the pertinent information that I will need, I would be glad to send it to you. Let me know.
As far as keeping the blog updated, it would have been cool to get more participation and also possibly some links to personal homepages or blog sites that I could have linked from the brablec site.
I enjoy the satirical and whimsical humor. Ever consider writing for the Daily Show or maybe even CNN. Both need new material.

Bon,
While stationed in Fort Riley Kansas with the Big Red One (1st Infantry division), I was commo chief for the Battalion Communications Group. I was a RATT(Radio and TeleType Operator). We were sent for desert training in Fort Ord California. While out on maneuvers, we were given incorrect coordinates to rendezvous with the rest of the unit. For four days we were lost in the desert and each day we were given the coordinates to mmet up with the unit but each time it was the coordinates for the previous day. Without food, water, and running low on gas for my generators and my Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) I removed a fuse from the teletype and used my Prick 77 (PRC-77, FM Radio) to contact base and let them know that my communications equipment had failed. They gave me permission to return to the rear (base camp). There my technicians "fixed" my radio equipment and my troops were able to eat, shower, and refuel our equipment. I also permitted them to go to the commisarry to replenish our supply of Pogie Bait (Junk food, cigs and various "non-permitted" items) and return to the field.
In return I was given the nickname RATT Killer. I used that name as a "handle" for all Communications that I sent for the rest of the time I was in Commo. Now I use it as a screen name.

I will look into a way to make the Blog a bit easier. Look for a new post on how to Blog.

I don't remember Mr. Perkins' window falling out, but that is just classic! I like the snowball in the window, too. Picturing Perkins at his desk, getting sprayed with snow, ya just gotta laugh! Anyone else have any good stories of mayhem to recall? How about the real estate "for sale" signs in front of the school? Who did that?

My personal favorite memory-
When Todd Corbin dressed up as a sperm for Halloween. His shirt read : "Fallopian tube swim team". The very same day, another student (name unknown after all of these years) dressed as a member of the KKK- complete with white hood- and sat in the front row of an assembly where we had an african american speaker. The speaker was cracking up. He was a great sport about it and knew it was all in fun. The principals got the kid out of there in a hurry. They didn't have the same sense of humor as the guestspeaker did.
